Recommended Internet Explorer Settings

Access City of Carrollton Citrix Web Access

Requirements:

• These instructions/recommendations are for only Microsoft Windows ME and newer home computers.
• Please have Latest Windows/Microsoft Updates
• Please have Internet Explorer 6.0 Service Pack 1 or better
• Install latest ICA Web Client
• Click Here to get Web Client or go to https://carxgw.cityofcarrollton.com/http/xenapp.carrollton.com/Citrix/XGW/clientDetection/downloadNative.aspx

In Internet Explorer 6.0 and 7.0

• Open Internet Explorer
• Click on Tools Menu
• Then Click on Internet Options
1. Then click on the General Tab
2. In the Temporary Internet Files Area

i. Click on the settings button

ii. Under “Check for newer versions of stored pages:

iii. Click on the “Every visit to the page” to select it

iv. Click OK.

• Then click on the Advanced tab
1. Scroll down until you see HTTP 1.1 settings

i. Uncheck “HTTP 1.1 settings”.

2. Scroll down until you see Security settings

i. Uncheck “Do not save encrypted pages to disk”.

• Please ensure that all Pop-up Blockers are turned off including Windows Service Pack Internet Explorer 7.0 built-in Pop-up Blocker.
